Medium-depth peels are designed to penetrate into the dermis of the skin to remove damaged skin layers and stimulate cell renewal. These procedures result in the actual replacement of unhealthy skin layers with thicker, undamaged skin. Medium-depth peels typically result in complete shedding of the skin over 5 to 7 days with the emergence of renewed, healthy, fresh skin. Deeper pigment problems, sun damaged skin and pre-malignant skin conditions can be effectively treated with these procedures. These peels can be repeated for even greater effectiveness with a healing time of at least 6 weeks in between each treatment. Most patients achieve results lasting 6 months or longer.
This peel utilizes a combination of Salicylic Acid and Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) to treat enlarged pores, fine lines and sun damage. The salicylic acid component clarifies skin, making this peel a great resurfacing treatment for combination skin. This peel requires a pre-treatment program, an antiviral prophylaxis in those patients prone to cold sores, and results in skin sloughing and healing over 5 to 7 days

This peel is customized to your skin type and condition and incorporates Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) with the patented Blue Peel base. This treatment is very effective for stubborn pigment problems, including age spots and melasma after pregnancy, enlarged pores and facial aging. In addition to the face, this peel can be performed on the neck, chest, and hands. This peel requires a pre-treatment program, an antiviral prophylaxis in those patients prone to cold sores, and results in skin sloughing and healing over 5 to 7 days.

Deep chemical peels are performed by Dr. Mary Snyder to provide complete facial resurfacing. These treatments are the most effective way to manage facial aging, and can result in remarkable improvement in deeper wrinkles, loose facial skin and scarring, including acne scars. Dr Snyder performs both deep TCA and phenol peels. Certain deep peels can be performed in the office, while others must be performed under sedation at the Scottsbluff Surgery Center. These procedures require a one to two week recovery period and facial skin may remain pink for several months afterwards. Soft tissue fillers are injectable products used to restore lost volume in the face. These products can be placed in the layers of the skin to reduce fine line and wrinkles or deeper in the fatty tissues to fill out facial folds and plump up the lips. Commonly treated areas of the face include crow’s feet and laugh lines.
This popular facial filler is made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body. The source of this product is non-animal, which limits the risk of allergy or disease transmission. This product works best for decreasing fine lines around the eyes and mouth. No allergy tests are required and the effects of Restylane® typically last 3 to 6 months.

This soft-tissue filler is also made from hyaluronic acid, but has special cross-linking that makes it longer-lasting. The slightly thicker consistency of this product makes it a good choice for filling deeper wrinkles, smile lines and lips. No allergy tests are required and the effects of Juvederm® typically last up to six months or longer.

This unique filler is synthetic (not derived from animal sources) and designed for placement in the deeper tissues of the face. It results in significant improvement of deeper folds and depressions of the face and can be used for smile lines, hollows around the eyes, and cheek augmentation. This filler works by stimulating growth of collagen in the treated areas and the final results may not be achieved for several weeks to months after treatment. Additionally, multiple treatment sessions may be required. No allergy tests are required and the effects of Sculptra® typically last up to two years or longer.

Filling of facial folds and plumping of the lips can also be accomplished by transplanting the body’s own tissue into the face. This surgical procedure can be done under local anesthesia in the office and involves removal of a small amount of fatty tissue from the abdomen or thigh by liposuction. The fat is then purified and concentrated and placed into the smile lines and/or lips through tiny incisions near the corner of the mouth. The results of this procedure typically last up to one year and can be permanent in some cases. Botox works by blocking the nerve impulses to muscles in the face, reducing the contraction of muscles. These muscles are responsible for creating dynamic wrinkles, which are the lines that are present when you are frowning, raising your eyebrows, squinting or smiling. Botox is a very effective treatment for lines of the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes. Botox is a temporary treatment which lasts approximately 4 months. Treatment costs depend on the areas treated and the amount of Botox injected.

Many patients have spider veins on the legs resulting from pregnancy, jobs that require long periods of standing, or varicose veins. These unsightly blemishes can be easily treated in the office with sclerotherapy. In this procedure, a tiny needle is used to inject the spider veins causing the vessel to shrink and disappear. Multiple treatments may be required and we recommend patients purchase and bring with them compression stocking to wear for 3 to 5 days after treatment.
