Dr. Snyder is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She has served as Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is an active committee member on the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Nebraska Medical Association and the American Association of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Mary Snyder is an active member of the Eduplast Foundation, which strives to improve reconstructive plastic surgery in under served countries. She has made numerous trips to Nicaragua to provide reconstruction to children and adults with clefts and other congenital anomalies, as well as burns and injuries. She also participates in the additional mission of Eduplast, which supports plastic surgery training programs in Nicaragua and Ecuador.
Dr. Snyder's professional interests include breast reconstruction and enhancement, body contouring, and facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery.
